Somerset fast bowler back for third season at Devonshire Road

Somerset fast bowling all rounder Kasey Aldridge has re-signed for the club for the 2023 season

2023 will be Kaseys third season at the club, having played 8 games across 2021 and 2022. He has a top score of 140*, made in a big win over Ilminster in 2022, and a best bowling of 2/8. He previously represented Bath and Brislington.

Kasey had also made a big impression on and off the pitch, bringing enthusiasm and quality to the first team squad on matchdays, as well as traveling to the club and answering questions at the Players Meeting in January. He’s also made great progress in a professional capacity with Somerset, establishing himself as a key member of the County Championship attack in 2022 with 22 wickets at an average of 30.

1st XI Captain Chris Davidson is delighted with the news:

“Kasey has been brilliant on and off the pitch for us. His willingness to engage and involve himself with the club off the pitch is a credit to him as a person, and he brings quality with bat and ball on the pitch. His 140* last season was an outstanding innings, and we hope to see him as much as possible around the club in 2023.”

Kasey is also pleased to be involved this season:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club so far, so it was a no-brainer to re-sign for this season. It’s a great environment to be involved in, and I hope to represent the club as much as possible in the upcoming season.”

WsMCC is delighted to have Kasey around the 1st XI again this season, and look forward to welcoming him to the club whenever his Somerset commitments allow.

We would like to thank Club Sponsor James White sales for his continued support of the club and Kasey.
