Weston were second again in the Western League in 1990. Richard Turner’s 637 league runs was the best. The 2nd XI won their league again with Peter Lomax the League’s outstanding bat (708 runs at 59.00) & Howard Broomhall the League’s top bowler (48 wickets at 13.83). The 2nd XI also won the Somerset 2nd XI K.O. Cup. Weston 1st XI beat
Sherborne in an exciting final to take the 60-over Touche Ross Trophy. In 1990, the East Ground Pavilion improvements were completed. An artificial wicket was laid on the East Ground mainly for Youth and evening matches

In 1991, 1st XI and 2nd XI won the Western League. The 1st XI Alliance Cup was also won. The 2nd XI won the 2nd XI Somerset K.O. Cup. Western Australian, Troy Ramshaw was the League’s leading scorer (844 runs at 64.92). Paul Sadler took 49 league wickets. Robert Turner made his Somerset debut. The Falcons won the Arthur Skirton Memorial
Trophy (the North Somerset League Cup) for the 4th time in 12 years. The youth teams were very successful in 1991 especially the U13s.

There was little to show for a season’s struggle in 1992. The 1st XI lost to Newport in the Classic Bat 60-overs final. Troy Ramshaw hit 178 against Malpas in an earlier round of that competition, and was again the leading scorer in the Western League with 803 runs at 53.50. The U15 team won the North Somerset League and the Dennis Smith Trophy in 1992.
Dave Smallwood retired as full-time Bar Steward after many years of loyal service.

On the 1993 Finals Day at the County Ground in Taunton, the Somerset 2nd XI Cup was won by Weston. The 1st XI lost later that day to Midsomer Norton in the Senior Final. The Alliance Cup was won. In the Western League, Perry Rendall hit 145 against Westbury and was the leading Weston scorer (808 runs at 57.71). For the 2nd XI, Martyn Boyd scored heavily (633 runs at 45.21 including one league century). The youth teams were again successful winning the U17 League, U15 League and Cup plus the Dennis Smith Trophy, and the U13 the League.

In 1994, both Weston 1st XI and 2nd XI had their worst season since starting League cricket. However, the 1st XI did win the Classic Bat Trophy defeating Lansdown in a tense final in which the Victorian, Lou Marks, scored 31 and took 3-12, and Ian Bussey’s 73 was vital. Weston again won the Alliance Cup inflicting a rare defeat on Bristol West Indies in the semi-final and beating Trowbridge in the final. David Hill took 9 for 55 in the Western League victory over Keynsham. John Moss from Sydney did well with bat and ball and was a brilliant fielder. The 2nd XI lost to Frome II in the 1994 Somerset 2nd XI K.O. Cup Final. The Falcons under John Poole finished second in Division 1 of the North Somerset League. The Youth Sides kept winning: U17 won North Somerset League, U15 won the Dennis Smith Trophy, and the U13 won the North Somerset League.
